Coastal Resilience

Focus Area

Coastal Resilience

Protecting vulnerable coastlines through nature-based solutions.

Our approach

Defending a coastline on the front line of climate change.

The Gambia is ranked among the ten countries most at risk from coastal erosion and sea-level rise globally. Banjul itself faces the risk of submersion. We work with coastal communities to build nature-based defences.

Initiative 02 · Awareness

Earth Day Activities

Each year we mark Earth Day with community engagement, awareness campaigns, and youth-led action that ties global climate momentum to local coastal realities.

Initiative 03 · Restoration

Banjul Beach Restoration

On a coastline losing ground to the sea each year, we partner with residents, councils, and youth groups to restore shorelines, protect biodiversity, and build long-term resilience for the city of Banjul.
