Creative Climate Action

#ART4EARTH

Using art, music, and storytelling to inspire climate awareness across The Gambia.

Where creativity meets climate.

Art4Earth is Clean Earth Gambia's innovative programme using creative arts such as painting, music, visual storytelling, and cultural expression to raise awareness about climate change and engage children and adolescents in environmental issues.

Through this effort, we engaged 38 schools, reaching over 500 students who actively participate in creative design sessions supported by their teacher coordinators.

The sessions are led by experienced creative artist Zina Zoker alongside Gambian artists Mariama Cham and Barhama Cham.

Creative climate sessions

Chapter one

A brush, a song, a story.

Where data and policy meet a wall, art finds an opening. Students paint what the changing climate feels like at home, and the room listens.

Chapter two

Culture as climate language.

Music, performance and visual storytelling carry the climate message into places where reports never travel — playgrounds, family compounds, and Saturday gatherings.
